Saint Agostina Petrantoni

We will lie down for such a long time after death that it is worth while to keep standing while we are alive. Let us work now; one day we will rest.

Saint Josaphat Kuncevyc

You people of Vitebsk want to put me to death. You make ambushes for me everywhere, in the streets, on the bridges, on the highways, and in the marketplace. I am here among you as a shepherd, and you ought to know that I would be happy to give my life for you. I am ready to die for the holy union, for the supremacy of Saint Peter, and of his successor the Supreme Pontiff.

Saint Martin of Tours

Lord,
if Your people still have need of my services,
I will not avoid the toil.
Your will be done.
Indeed, I have fought the good fight long enough.
Yet if You bid me continue to hold the battle line
in defense of Your camp,
I will never beg to be excused
on account of failing strength.
I will diligently perform the tasks
that You entrust to me.
And as long as You command
I will continue to do battle under Your banner.

Amen
