Saint Quote of the Day : Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina
Stay with me, Lord, for it is You alone I look for, Your Love, Your Grace, Your Will, Your Heart, Your Spirit, because I love You and ask no other reward but to love You more and more.
I find it amazing that so many people - even believers - are a bit worried that heaven might be boring - nothing to do, clouds, harps, mind-numbing whiteness, etc. Padre Pio knew the wonder of God - how amazing, beautiful, fun, creative, wonderful, etc - He is. Most of us have known some kind of love - is there anything more wonderful?! God IS love. Heaven is going to be so fantastic! I enjoyed the quote. Maybe you would visit my Franciscan blog http://www.stfrancisspeaks.blogspot.com and tell me what you think about it. Peace and all God's blessings upon you!
Brother Joseph, I appreciate your taking the time to visit my blog. I took a brief look at yours, and I added it to my Favorites. I will be going back to it. In the meantime, I have a quote for you from Saint Francis:
Jesus is happy to come with us, as truth is happy to be spoken, as life to be lived, as light to be lit, as love is to be loved, as joy to be given, as peace to be spread.
Brother Steve, What a wonderful quote! What a wonderful gift to share with your brother. And Francis of course, says it better than I ever could. I've never heard/read this quote before so it is also a new discovery. I've read St. Francis Words for decades so this is quite exciting to me! I'm going to cut and paste and save this quote. God bless you brother, even more than He has used you to bless me. Peace.
